New York, Paris, Tokyo. Oh, the places we'd like to go..

As we begin work on the Spring issue, we are trying to think of interesting things to put in to keep you lovely people interested. So we've had a stroke of genius and it involves a little bit of reader participation, so concentrate now as this may involve you!

As you all know, we're based in the UK and though we do love good old Blighty we are well aware that our readers are not all from our little isle. SO we want to go global, to the hottest places around the world. We want to know everything that is happening in New York, Paris, Tokyo or anywhere that you guys would like to read about.

That's where you lot come in. As much as we would love to go to all these amazing places, someone has to actually stay home and make the magazine so that falls to us. We want to find some amazing correspondants who know everything about everything in one of these places to keep us updated and write a little something every issue.

If you are interested and want to get involved send an email to
telling us a little bit about yourself, where you live and a short example of your writing.

We look forward to hearing from you. Oh, and we hope you all had a great Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

Festive Cheer

Well all this snow has got us in the festive mood, it's also making it very hard to leave the house. So we've spent some time finding our favourite classic christmas anthems.

How can you not love these?

All I want for Christmas is You Mariah

So now we want to know - what's your favourite?

Let There Be Light

I nearly died when I saw this! I have always loved the glow that fairy lights give off and have had them tied round by bed posts as well around my mirror at one time or another. But now thanks to Cox and Cox you can power them from your humble laptop all for only £8! What better way to give yourself some festive cheer whilst writing your boring essays (or refreshing facebook.)

Room Raiders

Do you have a beautiful bedroom you're dying to show the world?
Well now is your chance, we want to see!

We're currently compiling our upcoming spring issue, and one feature this season is bedrooms - any shape, any size, just as long as they're beautifully decorated! If you think your room deserves to grace our pages then snap a photo and email it to sendusyourlove@cellardoormagazine.co.uk

Once all entries have been submitted by January 1st we'll have a look through & pick our favourites to appear in the magazine.

Good luck :)

Doing MJ Proud

Yesterday we stumbled upon something which truly mesmerised us... Sam Tsui. Now we're not massive on Youtube sensations, but watching this guy made us wish we had his passion, enthusiasm and definitely his set of lungs!

Sam and his guitarist Kurt Schneider do a whole range of covers from Jay Sean, to Gaga and our new fave... Michael Jackson!

You get used to the many Sams on stage eventually..

Oh Alice

Disney Jewelry

We've just fallen in love with the new collection from jeweller Tom Binns. Each one is based around an event or character from the upcoming Tim Burton movie, Alice in Wonderland. All the pieces are limited-edition, including our favourite - the broken-teacup necklace shown here, will retail for $1,000 to $1,500 in the spring. If, like us, that's a bit out of your price range look out for Tom Binns for Disney Couture (or just pray Santa's put you on his nice list!).

Sweet Tooth

alexis mabille

Man. We love chocolate as much as the next girl, and how amazing is this yule log from French designer Alexis Mabille? He's put his own stamp on the traditional xmas treat for the iconic hot-chocolaterie Angelina.
The bow is so cute, and we love how it resembles Coco's infamous chanel bag. Chocolate and bags - perfect.

Welcome to Cellardoor

.. and our new blog!

This will be just another way that we can keep you all updated with the goings on at Cellardoor. There's so much we want to cram into each issue, so this will be the place to let you know about everything else - and this way you can get your fix a little early, if you're anything like us and can't wait for the next issue.

We'll be posting our favourite videos, some of the inspiration behind our beautiful baby and most importantly, the work of our amazing contributors!

So don't be shy, follow us and then go tell all your friends.
