Kate's Twelfth Night

If you’re looking for some romance this summer and want a flirty feminine wardrobe to match- look no further than Kate Moss’ latest collection for Topshop. Her 12th collection for the retail superpower is Kate’s most romantic and girly yet. Full of soft pastel colours and frothy materials, (think feathers, tulle and a whole lot of ruffles), the range is based on the vintage look Kate so often champions.

As always the range is designed with Kate’s own wardrobe in mind and holds onto her rebellious streak with shorter styles, “I always like it to be sexy. Even if I’ve done something quite classic, I always want it shorter- I want things shorter and shorter!” she told Grazia magazine.

The ad campaign was shot by photography legend, and repeat collaborator with miss Moss, Nick Knight. The photo’s themselves are ethereal and angelic, showing off the collection perfectly and even better, Nick Knight has shot a video of Kate dancing around in the collection, (giving us all serious urges to run to the nearest Topshop and buy the lot!). The collection is out now, and judging from past collections I would get there quick before the best pieces sell out!

Here are our favourites:

What do you think of the collection? Has Kate struck gold again, or are you getting bored of the Kate/Topshop collaboration already? Let us know!

Back in the 50's, professional photographer Philippe Halsman liked to have a little fun after shooting his serious portrait work....

After photographing some of the most influential people of his generation for magazine covers such as LIFE and the Saturday Evening Post, Halsmon requested that the subject quickly 'jump' before closing down the shoot.

This request led to some fantastically whimsical shots of stars such as Audrey Hepburn, Marylin Monroe, Salvador Dali and Richard Nixon leaping to the skies without a care in the world. With over 100 LIFE magazine covers to his name, the idea was unconventional at the time for such a well-known name in photography, but gave Halsmon some of the best shots of his career.

We love how Philippe Halsman managed to pull out the fun side of every subject and how he shone a completely new light on certain famous figures we all thought we had figured out, all in the name of art and silliness! The extended series of 'Jump' photographs is currently on display for the first time at the Laurence Miller Gallery in New York until 28th May and will no doubt inspire onlookers to smile and jump around that little more often.

There's no other superstar.

We just stumbled across this video of 12-year-old Greyson Chance performing Lady Gaga's Paparazzi at a school show.

Now, we don't know about you but we think he's pretty impressive for someone his age and we're sure he'll have gained himself a few new fans after his new-found internet stardom! What do you guys think?

P.S. Don't you just love watching the audience's faces?

We Never Forget...

Wandering the streets of London for the past week or two you may have noticed some rather beautiful visitors to the city. 250 exotic painted elephant sculptures are parading the streets around London as part of a campaign by to help raise awareness and money for the Asian elephant as well as UK conservation companies such as Born Free.

The Elephants have been painted by greats such as Jack Vettriano, Mark Quinn and Matthew Williamson. Queen of the wrap dress Diane von Furstenberg created elephant ‘Twiggy’ painting her white with red geometric shapes. From elephants in disguise as tigers, to one being covered in black and white pin up photos, another being painted with anti-graffiti resin and Lulu Guiness’ elephant covered in lipstick kisses, they are all unique and convey a powerful image.

They are for sale through auction in July. However if you fancy taking one home miniatures are available from Selfridges, Carnaby Street and Regent Street. Elephants from parades all over the world can also be bought on the website

Visit the website where you can find out about upcoming events including the auction, as well as sign the petition to help save the elephants. The elephants can be seen strutting around London until July 2010, when they will head off to New York.

Also keep your eye out for the lovely Zara Martin's contribution with BodyAMR and read a little more about the cause in upcoming issue of Cellardoor.
