Colour bright, colour right

Pleased are we to see the Spring/Summer trends for 2011 which sees colour contorted in various designs by prestigious designers. London, Milan and Paris worked overtime to show our eyes an exceedingly good time from Marc Jacobs’ sophisticated glamour in hues of sugary pink to Burberry Prorsum’s “It” staple of the season; The biker jacket. Not just any biker but complete with stud embellishing, a new tough look for our Burberry beauty.

Colour is our best friend this season but if like us, you fear looking more coco the clown than enviable fashionista then let us proceed with the “How to Colour Guide”, for the girl who wishes to colour inside the lines. Firstly, invest in whimsical and floral femininity a la Alberta Ferretti. Secondly, long clean lines a la Chloe who deems the camel a hue here to stay. Thirdly, invest in the iconic waist belt in a popping shade in homage to Burberry. Wonderful one can bring an entire wardrobe into 2011 with an eye-grabbing pinch of colour.

We shall most definitely be pairing structured outerwear in subtle tones with a wrap around belt or clutch in a bright Tiffany Blue.

What are your must haves this season?
