It's that time of the year again, when all the boy shapes in our lives attempt to grow the most silliest of facial hair - the moustache... and all for a good cause too.

We can’t help our beautifully smooth complexions, however we can still take part in Movember. This is the charity movement that has taken the usually grey month of November and turned it into a worldwide facial hair growing/ celebrating extravaganza to raise funds and awareness of Men’s health issues, especially prostate cancer and other male cancers.

There are numerous Movember parties happening across the country/ the World throughout November. You could even host your own moustache party to raise money!

Check out the list of official Gala Part├ęs here and find out more about how to host your own amazing facial hair growth celebrating shindig here, they’ll even send you an amazing Mo party pack if you do!

For those ‘stache toting folks who are more into fitness than flat-on-the-floor-drunkness there are many Mo Running 5km and 10km events happening too. It’s a great chance to flex those muscles, dust of your best mo inspired fancy dress, get the wind in your moustache and raise more money for an amazing cause. You can find out if there’s one happening near you here.

Gizzi Erskine, perhaps the most glamorous chef on the telly, has teamed up with uber burger restaurant Byron to create the Gizz-Mo burger in support of Movember. The Gizz-Mo sounds pretty darned tasty, a hamburger made even more delicious with the addition of Welsh Rarebit topping (made from mature Cheddar, smoked Cheddar, English mustard, Guinness and Worstershire sauce). It’ll be available on the specials menu at Byron restaurants throughout November and 50p from the sale of each burger goes to Movember. Even better though, if you’re growing your own tache and have raised £25 or more then you can get a free burger EVERY DAY from the 7th to the 20th of this month! (3pm-6pm only).
So not only can your facial hair growing skills raise money for an amazing cause, they could also bag you a tasty bit of scran too!

Whether you’re purchasing or partying, running or just standing still admiring your Mo growing skills get involved in Movember. Your face will thank you for it!

Last night I found a partially completed pom-pom, of pink yarn with silver threading in it. Before I realized what was happening, it had been turned into a mustache for some beastie. Movember is in the air!
