Summer Sounds

How have we all been feeling lately? A little more content, now that the sun is out and the air is warm? We are embracing the summer vibes once again here at Cellardoor, but as work continues (or play for some of you!) we want to introduce you to the talented and understated Jessie Ware.

Gorgeously seductive and chilled, Ware’s new album Devotion is perfectly suited to play to get you through the frenzies of the day. Ware, who is 27 years old, has been singing the backing vocal for dubstep groups SBTRKT and Joker prior to making her debut album. Her route into music happened almost unintentionally but already it looks like success is on the cards.

What we love about Devotion; it wonderfully manages to hold the club culture influence sound but yet at the same time is romantic, soulful and smooth. She is indeed humble and honest in what she does.

Here is one of our favourite tracks...

Ware is releasing Devotion on August 20 but for now you can stream the album for free from The Guardian http://bit.ly/Q3acip

She will be playing live next at Shoreditch Park in London on August 31 2012.
