What we're listening to...

October signals seasonal changes outside and inside: the weather outside and the emotions on the inside. Well, maybe not for everyone, but it does for one of our favourite artists Ellie Goulding, especially, with the release of her second album this week!

After suffering a tough couple of years since the success of her gorgeous debut Lights her new album displays her redemption from some of her turbulent times. We love that Halcyon is an emotional ride and we can easily relate to her heartache and life-lesson learning.

Ellie herself has said: “Loneliness has been the biggest influence on this record (Halcyon); I feel like what I do is lonely.”

Admire her edgy style in the video to her latest single Anything Could Happen. We get to see Ellie floating around on a rope swing hanging from an obscure feather-cloud in draped material on a rosy misty beach and a mysterious man. Sound-wise her lyrics are bold and the use of drums, pop and high pitched vocals create an ethereal quality, which we love.

You can purchase Halcyon on iTunes and she will be touring the UK in December. Click here to purchase tickets.
